Faculty and Students from the Research Group Attend and Present at the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Ce

From May 15–16, 2026, Professor Han Feng and Professor Lu Yingmei, together with student representatives including Associate Professor Liu Xiuxiu, Dr. Lu Yaping, Zhang Quanxin, and Luo Yiling, traveled to Shijiazhuang, Hebei, to attend the 2026 Annual Meeting of the Cerebrovascular Function and Diseases Branch of the Chinese Neuroscience Society. The conference was hosted by the Branch and organized by the First Hospital of Hebei Medical University and Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University (Hebei Hospital), with co organization by the Hebei Stroke Specialist Alliance and the Hebei Society for Integrated Neuro Psychiatric Development.

During the meeting, scholars from across the country engaged in in depth exchanges on hot topics and recent advances in cerebrovascular disease research through keynote lectures, invited talks, and young investigator symposia. The conference provided a high level academic platform for professors, researchers, young investigators, and students to discuss cerebrovascular function and related disorders.
The meeting featured a series of inspiring presentations by distinguished speakers, including Professor Jiao Jianwei (Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences), Professor Wang Changhe (Xi’an Jiaotong University), Professor Xiao Bailong (Tsinghua University), Professor Peng Dantao (China Japan Friendship Hospital), Professor Jia Jiemin (Westlake University), Professor Ma Gaoting (Xuanwu Hospital, Capital Medical University), and Professor Tang Yamei (Sun Yat sen Memorial Hospital, Sun Yat sen University). Their talks offered novel perspectives and cutting edge methodologies, attracting a large audience—especially young researchers—who participated in lively and in depth discussions.
On the afternoon of May 16, members of our group delivered their own presentations. Associate Professor Liu Xiuxiu reported on her study of astrocytic Kir4.1 channel dysfunction mediated neural network imbalance and its role in social behavioral deficits. Dr. Lu Yaping presented her work on the mechanisms of autophagy pathways in cerebrovascular pathological injury and their imaging targets. Zhang Quanxin shared his research on the temporal assessment of visual hallucinations in Parkinson’s disease patients using a multidimensional analysis strategy. Luo Yiling reported on the molecular braking of firing pattern switching in medial habenula (MHb) cholinergic neurons and its role in mediating nicotine withdrawal induced anxiety.

The conference not only enabled our team members to engage in in depth discussions with renowned scholars from across the country, but also offered young trainees a valuable opportunity to present their research progress and broaden their academic horizons. Looking ahead, our group will continue to promote interdisciplinary collaboration, pursue excellence with dedication, and strive to contribute further insights and efforts toward the identification of disease targets and the development of innovative therapeutics.
